DIGICEL SUPPORTS THE POLICE AT KAISO HEADQUARTERS

Castries, St Lucia, June 20, 2012: Digicel is joining forces with the Royal St. Lucia Police Force this Carnival season, to bring about the ever popular “Kaiso Headquarters”. When thinking of the Royal St Lucia Police Force, thoughts are usually of them in traditional roles, being highly trained and talented, ready to fulfill their mandate to “protect and serve”. However, with this year’s event being held the Police Restaurant Yard will come alive with a fun filled atmosphere, where members of the Force will trade in their traditional arms for “musical instruments and melodic voicesto entertain as they display their musical talent resident amongst the constabulary.

The aim of this event is to allow the police officers to relax in a stress free environment, have fun and be a part of the Carnival festivities, while fulfilling their higher calling, to protect and serve, and also community policing. The event will indeed be a spectacular show when the Reigning Police Calypso Monarch “Sparta-Pra” will defend his title against many other participants.

According to Constable Dyson Imbert, Events Coordinator, “The Royal St. Lucia Police Force is very pleased to have Digicel’s full support for the seventh year of this highly anticipated event and would like to express heartfelt thanks for their continued support.”

“Digicel has recognized the importance of this initiative and are pleased to support in cash and kind to the Kaiso Headquarters Police Calypso Show to be held on July 7th, 2012” commented Kerchelle Jn Charles, Marketing Manager of Digicel.

The Police force has plans to continue to make this an annual event and Digicel also has high expectations that this year’s Kaiso Headquarters will be Bigger and Better!
