DIGICEL SPONSORS VIEUX FORT CARNIVAL AND ST. LUCIAN SPIRITS CARNIVAL BAND

                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Saturday June 27th, 2009 – Castries, St. Lucia: Digicel, The Bigger, Better Network has provided sponsorship to Vieux Fort Carnival as part of its community drive for Carnival 2K9. The launch of Vieux Fort carnival, on Sunday June 21st was filled with excitement and colour as patrons from the north, south and surrounding areas turned up in large numbers to be part of this event.

 

Community members were entertained by Digicel Pantime Steel Orchestra, parade of Carnival Band costumes and calypso and soca artistes.

 

The Bigger, Better Network has also continued to sponsor other Carnival Bands. The St. Lucian Spirit carnival band has received sponsorship from Digicel, for this year’s Carnival 2K9. 

 

“Digicel is proud to be associated with and support community carnival as well as Carnival bands. We are determined to take carnival to the entire St. Lucian public and continue to provide support and assistance to various carnival committees and bands,” commented Digicel’s Country Manager, Keigan Cox.
