CASTRIES, ST LUCIA, Tuesday 17 February, 2009: There was no indication of a Black Friday on Friday 13th February, 2009 as Digicel, The Bigger, Better Network launched its new promotion FREE talk.  A  FREE talk concert was held at the grounds of the CSA center where a massive crowd gathered painting the grounds red with their outfits all wanting to take advantage of the new promotion and to be entertained by their favourite local artistes.  Patrons were treated by top local singers which included Ricky T, Herb Black, Teddyson John, Isla Man and Platinum George.  Patrons were treated to prizes which all came in fives as the promotion entitles customers to a ‘Five Day Pass’ of FREE talk.  Digicel customers also enjoyed even more FREE talk with bonus cards given to customers who topped up their handsets.

The Digicel FREE talk plan gives prepaid customers FREE local Digi to Digi calls at a cost of twenty dollars ($20) for five (5) days, with four (4) hours of talk time daily. All Digicel local calls are free within this time. After the service period has expired the customer automatically goes back to the normal billing unless he/she reactivates their service. In order for a customer to activate FREE talk, he/ she would need to dial * 134 # and send to initiate and then follow the prompts until a confirmation message is received.

The launch of FREE talk is another opportunity for Digicel customers to enjoy more free talk -time from their favourite telecommunications provider in St Lucia.  Digicel is committed to keeping customers in touch with friends and family with no hassle to end a call after a few minutes.

As commented by Keigan Cox, Digicel’s Country Manager, “This new twist of FREE talk gives Digicel customers more freedom to keep in touch with family and friends. This is only the beginning and customers can look forward to more exciting promotions tailored to giving back and rewarding them for their continued loyalty over the coming months.”
