  1. What is the ‘My Family’ promotion about?

 

The ‘My Family’ post-paid promotion is designed for family members to all share similar benefits of Bundled minutes, SMS and Free CUG calling.

 

2.      What are the available ‘My Family’ plans?

 

The available plans are as follows;

 

 

 

3.      How do these new plans work?

 

 

-          Digicel Family 1000 offers postpaid customers 1000 minutes @ a monthly subscription of $380.00 for DIGI to local calls (DIGI to DIGI, DIGI to Fixed Lines, DIGI to other mobiles), Digicel Regional calls, USA, Canada, UK (fixed lines), USVI and Puerto Rico, plus 100 bundled SMS (Digi to Digi local and Regional ONLY) and free unlimited calls within the group.

 

 

-          Digicel Family 1500 offers postpaid customers 1500 minutes @ a monthly subscription of 570.00 for DIGI to local calls (DIGI to DIGI, DIGI to Fixed Lines, DIGI to other mobiles), Digicel Regional calls, DIGI to USA, Canada and UK (fixed lines), USVI and Puerto Rico, plus 150 bundled SMS (Digi to Digi local and Regional ONLY) and free unlimited calls within the group.

 

 

-          Digicel Family 2000 offers postpaid customers 2000 minutes @ a monthly subscription of $760.00 for DIGI to local calls (DIGI to DIGI, DIGI to Fixed Lines, DIGI to other mobiles), Digicel Regional calls, DIGI to USA, Canada and UK (fixed lines), USVI and Puerto Rico, plus 200 bundled SMS (Digi to Digi local and Regional ONLY) and free unlimited calls within the group.

 

 

4.      How can a customer get the ‘My Family’ plan activated?

 

A post-paid customer can get the ‘New Plan’ activated either through a dealer store, Digicel’s Head Office in Rodney Bay or Vieux Fort or from any Sales Rep.

 

 

5.      How many persons can I include in the ‘My Family’ plan?

 

The “My Family” plan allows a total of five (5) users and a minimum of three (3) users. If 3 persons are signing up, at least one (1) customer signing up for this plan must be existing prepaid customers or new to the network. In the case of four (4) or five (5) persons signing up two (2) persons must be existing prepaid customers or new to the network.

 

 

 

6.      What are the calling rates for ‘My Family’?

7.      Can existing postpaid customers upgrade to ‘My Family’?

 

A postpaid customer can upgrade to these new plans.

 

Note:    Prepaid customers who wish to move to postpaid will be able to do so and continue using their existing number. This conversion process will take a maximum of 24 Hrs to complete.

 

8.      Can I activate data on the ‘My Family’ plan?

 

Yes, data can be activated on the “My Family” plan. Additionally, new customers activating data on this plan will receive free BB 8520 (which goes to the main account holder) instead of Nokia 5130 and have their 3rd, 6th and 9th month subscription charges waived!

 

 

 

9.      Are existing postpaid customers entitled to same benefits upon upgrading to ‘My Family’?

 

Unlike new subscribers, existing postpaid subs are entitled to 50% off on the Nokia 5130 upon sign up, and 50% off on the BB 8520 upon signing up with data activation. Existing customers activating data for first time will be entitled to the 3rd, 6th and 9th month subscription charge waiver.

 

 

10.  Is there a fee/deposit required for activation?

 

New and existing customers who would like the free Blackberry 8520 handset option upon sign up with (data plan) are required to pay a security deposit of $600.00. New and existing customers opting out of the free Blackberry 8520 handset option are required to make a security deposit of $300.00.

 

 

11.  What else is required to activate this plan

 

A presentation of National ID and copy of a Utility bill is required upon signing up for this plan. In the event Utility bill cannot be produced, National ID will be accepted. Existing customers are required to settle all outstanding amounts prior to activating the “My Family” plan.

 

 

12.  With ‘My Family’, are postpaid customers able to DIGI-ROAM?

 

Yes, My Family customers are able to DIGI-ROAM using all services of the plan at no additional cost. Data roaming charges (Blackberry and Non-Blackberry) are not applicable to unlimited data users roaming on DIGI-Roam territories.

 

 

Note:   DIGI-ROAM Territories include; Anguilla, Antigua, Aruba, Barbados, Bermuda, Bonaire, BVI, Cayman, Curacao, Dominica, El Salvador, FWI (Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, St Martin), Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Panama, St Kitts, St Lucia, St Vincent, Surinam, TCI, Trinidad

 

 

 

13.  Am I able to use these new plans while roaming?

 

If a customer is roaming outside of Digi-Roam territories then roaming rates will be applicable.

 

Note:   if a customer with the unlimited data plan is roaming outside of Digi-Roam territories then roaming rates will also apply for data.

 

 

14.  With the ‘New Plans’, do minutes and SMS bundles roll over?

 

Yes, minutes and SMS will roll over to the following month.

 

 

 

 

15.  If I am credit limit barred am I still able to use the service?

 

As long as the customer has bundled minutes then calls can be made to all destinations within that bundle. With unlimited data, a customer can still use the service despite the fact of being credit barred.

 

 

 

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

§  All “My Family” contracts are of a duration of 3 years.

 

§  Individual signing up for the account would assume responsibility of the bill.

 

§   Free and discounted handsets specified are available while stocks last and Digicel reserves the right to amend the offer. Handsets are not redeemable for cash nor can the value be used to offset the cost of another handset.

 

§  If a subscriber wishes to terminate their contract before the 3 yr period the subscriber will be liable to pay the reminder of the subscription plus the full cost of the handset less their deposit.
